New Requirements for Legal Update & Ethics MCE Instructors
Amendments adopted at the August 17, 2009 Commission meeting require that prior to attending an instructor training course, a person must have Core instructor approval with three years experience in teaching or training AND a college degree in the subject area of real estate or five years professional experience in the subject areas of Principles of Real Estate, Law of Agency, and Law of Contracts; or the equivalent of those requirements as determined by the Commission. http://www.trec.state.tx.us/whats_new.asp
A new Core/Legal Update-Ethics instructor application will be posted on TREC's web site on September 13th. In the meantime, applicants may use the current core instructor application to apply for approval to teach the Legal Update and Ethics courses.
Instructors who are currently approved to teach one or more core courses and who wish to be approved to teach Legal Update and Ethics may send TREC a letter requesting review of their file for the purpose of becoming approved to teach Legal Update and Ethics.

 MCE Legal Update and Ethics: $150 or $170 after Nov 25
|
|
Cancellations: By November 25, 2009, full refund; November 26-December 2, 2009, $30 cancellation fee; After December 2, 2009, no refund.
